When we talk about fan film folks trying to make it big, we tend to focus on the directors, but hey, sometimes the stars get to make it big, too. Case in point:
I’m walking home through Times Square the other day when I look up at a billboard and see a somewhat familiar face on it…and I’m wondering “Why do I know that guy? Who is he?” It took me a few moments to realize that I was looking at Mike O’Hearn—the guy who played Superman in Sandy Collora’s World’s Finest. These days, he’s on American Gladiators, but he looks pretty different, since he has blond hair now.

The show did well when it debuted in January, but this past Monday was its first outing in three months and it took a big hit in the ratings. I have to admit, I was pretty bored when I watched a few minutes of it while waiting for Medium to come on (which was worth watching here in New York–we got this (NSFW) as a surprise during a commercial break).
