Star Wars Fan Filmmaker’s First Feature Film, Imprint, Hits Stores Tuesday

imprintEvery fan filmmaker dreams of helming a feature film, but to date, few have reached that goal. Even fewer, however, have made that feature film before their fan films came out—but that’s what happened for Marc Linn, director of the Native American thriller, Imprint, which arrives on DVD tomorrow–Tuesday, February 10.

Linn, a filmmaker based in Rapid City, South Dakota, may have spent the last six years working on a fan film, Star Wars: Heart of the Rebellion, but he’s also been working on other efforts as well, including Imprint, the plot of which is described thusly on IMDB:

Shayla Stonefeather, a Native American attorney prosecuting a Lakota teen in a controversial murder trial, returns to the reservation to say goodbye to her dying father. After the teen is killed, she hears ghostly voices and sees strange visions that cause her to re-examine beliefs she thought she left behind.

Imprint will be available at Wal-Mart, Borders, Blockbuster, Best Buy, Mr. Movies, the Movie Gallery, and , among others. And believe it or not, even though he now has a released feature film under his belt, Linn hasn’t stopped working on his fan film. In fact, he’s still editing away, and aims to release the flick in the fall of 2009.

Catch the trailers for both Imprint and Star Wars: Heart of the Rebellion after the jump.

I don’t think this one is right, Clive. I don’t think he had anything to do with Star Wars: Heart of the Rebellion. I do know he did the fan film Indiana Jed as a kid and then X-Files Graceland which was a great fan film by the way. I also know he directed the Tim Russ Star Trek project “Of Gods and Men”. According to his IMDB he did work on Trenches as editor which was created by the people who did Heart of the Rebellion so uncertain if that is where the confusion lies. Now I will sit back as you prove me wrong.

NOW THAT I THINK OF IT! I’m talking about Revelations and not Heart of the Rebellion. My bad.
