By all reports, the big screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation at Mann’s Chinese on Wednesday was a big hit, but if you live out in California and couldn’t make it, perhaps you can catch it on Saturday for free (ooh, gotta love free) at Newport Beach. There’ll be a free to the public, walk-up screening as part of Big Newport (www.bignewport.com), along with a silent auction for charity. Big Newport is located at 300 Newport Center Dr., in Newport Beach, directly across from Fashion Island. The movie will be shown on a big screen in the grass field in front of the theater—the area is known as “Tent City” for all the die-hard Indiana Jones fans waiting in line for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
