Nightwing—AKA The Superhero Formerly Known As Batman’s Sidekick, Robin—gets his own fan film with , a lengthy short by New York-based writer/director/producer Nathan Fernandez. Featuring Andrei Claude as the title character, the flick finds its protagonist doing battle with corrupt cop Dudley Soames, who’s intent on taking out DC Superheroes.
Despite his wobbly English accent, Christopher James Raynor’s portrayal of bad guy Soames is easily the highlight of the fan film. On the downside, the somber film is dark—not only in content, but in visuals. The murky, occasionally atmospheric shots are often hard to make out, and MySpace’s crummy encoding doesn’t do the flick any favors.
